Erika Durante

Assistant Teacher

Erika Durante is an Assistant Teacher who brings a warm and thoughtful presence to the classroom. Before joining GECC, she worked as a nanny for three years, gaining hands-on experience in nurturing and guiding young children. Erika holds a B.S. in Biology from California Baptist University and a Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) in Secondary Education from Liberty University. Erika finds joy in how working with young children invites you to slow down and rediscover the wonder in everyday moments. Originally from California, she spent three years in North Carolina before settling in Maryland. Outside of the classroom, Erika enjoys gardening, reading, and spending time with her three beloved cats.
